"The Wolverine": Hugh Jackman shows his claws in new photo

Hugh Jackman is looking sharp -- literally -- in a newly-released photo from "The Wolverine."

Jackman is shown in the photo as the mutant Logan (aka Wolverine), dressed in black and bearing what looks like blood on his claws.

Fans will get see a bit more of this Marvel hero's solo film next week, according to director James Mangold, who tweeted that a full trailer is on the way:

Clarity for all asking: I will tweet a peek (a "tweazer") on 26th. Full teaser online on 27th. 3D and 2D in theaters on the big screen 29th.

For those who are counting, Jackman has now played Logan/Wolverine seven times -- that includes the first "X-Men" trilogy, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," his memorable cameo in "X-Men: First Class," "The Wolverine" and upcoming appearance in "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

"The Wolverine" will arrive in theaters on July 26, 2013.

I can't wait to finally get a teaser for this film! To try to refresh on Logan's story leading to this movie, I have been watching X-Men and Origins with Blockbuster @Home from DISH. It's great that with my busy work schedule at DISH, I can get my movies really quick in the mail. I also take advantage of in store exchanges when I forget to return a movie, and watching his story again has given me a better understanding of his state of mind in this new movie.
