LOS ANGELES Lindsay Lohan has a new mug shot.

The troubled 26-year-old actress turned herself in to police in California as a formality Tuesday, the day after she accepted a plea deal in her misdemeanor car crash case. A spokesman for the Santa Monica Police Department said she was booked then released.

Lohan was sentenced to spend five days in jail, but that time will be served in a locked-down rehabilitation facility. It's part of a plea deal that includes 90 days in rehab, 30 days of community labor, 18 months of psychological counseling, a fine and restitution.

Lohan pleaded no contest Monday to reckless driving and lying to police who were investigating the accident involving the actress in June along the Pacific Coast Highway. A charge of obstructing an officer was dropped.

Lohan also was found in violation of her probation in a 2011 necklace theft and sentenced to 180 days in jail. However, she can avoid that jail time if she complies with the conditions of her plea deal, which extends her probation for two years.

Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney set another hearing for May 2, when the court must be given proof of Lohan's enrollment in a treatment program.

After a pair of arrests for driving under the influence in 2007, Lohan has resolved her numerous legal issues without going to trial.

She will be okay but she needs to stop partying so hard.Maybe this time away from drinking will help her to see just how out of control she has been.I hope she is succesful even though I don't usually watch the type of movies she is in

She needs to be locked up for a period of time that hurts. This constant coming in front of judges and having them slap her wrists is ridiculous.

Yes, but with current jail overcrowding, they can't afford the money or the space to keep every petty criminal locked up. She's going to have to f**k up a lot worse for her to get a deluxe reservation in the hole.

THESE "CATCH AND RELEASE" LAW ENFORCEMENT DEALS THAT SHE GETS HAVE GOT TO STOP.
NO WONDER SHE KEEPS VIOLATING THE RULES...SHE NEVER HAS ANY REAL CONSEQUENCES!

I don't get all the interest in this woman. What is her claim to fame. All she does is get a lot of publicity for her bad conduct. She should have finally been given jail time for all she has done. She obviously has no respect for the law or judicial system so put her away.....Please!

happens everyday, a coworkers sister in law was killed over the weekend by a guy with 5 previous DUI's who hasn't had a license since 1996 and has been caught 10 times driving without it sober, 4 times drunk. Every time I hear somesone say (regarding Lohan) anyone else would be in jail, I have to almost laugh, no they wouldn't be and hardly anyone would even know it happened til they kill someone. 3rd time in 6 months it's happened in my small neck of the woods

Very predictable. Hear is the bottom line. you pay your lawyers truck loads of money and you still go to jail. L.A. County gives the State employed judges $60,000.00 a year and you will always lose against the L.A. prosecutor. SBX211 If L.A. County want's to show boat you your done because the County owns the judges.

Strike back Lindsey. You got what nobody else with guts has. you got tons of media following you around like flies. FRAUD ON THE COURT BY AN OFFICER OF THE COURT. Make them explain how Amnesty from prosecution for accepting money that was NOT authorized by LAW restores due process. SBX211 Section 5
Lets see if those judges break down and cry when they face felony charges for taking money that was NOT authorized by LAW.
