Five guys and five girls are now left in the competition after Wednesday's 90-minute episode ended with the other 10 singers going home.

Host Ryan Seacrest said that 39 million votes had been cast this week to determine the lineup. He informed the singers of their fate one-by-one backstage, and the judges and audience did not know who made the cut until they walked out on stage to perform a song.

So, without further ado, here is this year's "Idol" Top 10:

Lazaro Arbos
Janelle Arthur
Curtis Finch, Jr.
Candice Glover
Kree Harrison
Amber Holcomb
Paul Jolley
Angie Miller

Which means Wednesday was the end of the road for these "American Idol" hopefuls:

Charlie Askew
Nick Boddington
Aubrey Cleland
Zoanette Johnson
Adriana Latonio
Elijah Liu
Vincent Powell
Cortez Shaw
Breanna Steer
Tenna Torres

I think american idol shouldnt have let Cortez Shaw go! I mean face it that young fellow has it all Looks, Talent, Moves, and Personality.

If their doing a wildcard, they need to bring him BACK! He will help their ratings!

Burnell is the only one I really care about so I'm happy with this top ten! I'm already looking forward to seeing what he does next week. I actually won't be home to watch American Idol live because I work the late shift at DISH when it airs. My DISH Hopper automatically records all the primetime shows on Fox every night though so I'll be able to get caught up as soon as I get home.

What could Charlie have been thinking when he said he decided to vent on American Idol onThursday? Did he forget he was competing to be the next Idol? I wasn't impressed with his performance or appearance.
