/ DC ComicsHoly dearly departed, Batman!
The Caped Crusader's infamous sidekick Robin is slated to meet his end in the upcoming issue of DC Comic's "Batman Incorporated" series.
Several different characters have stepped into the Boy Wonder's tights over the years, and this isn't the first time a Robin has been killed off before.
DC Comics pulled the plug on a previous Robin named Jason Todd in 1988 after fans voted in favor of the death in a telephone poll.
In his current incarnation, Robin's alter ego is Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, who was played by Marion Cotillard in the most recent Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises."
Batman will have a lot to deal with over the comic series' next several issues, grieving over the death of his partner-in-crime-fighting as well as his only child.
Fans can see Robin's death in issue No. 8 of "Batman Incorporated," which goes on sale Wednesday.

- Most of you, including the obviously non comic-savvy writer of this article, are not readers nor kept up with current comics continuity. That being said, what was the point of chiming in on something you don't understand? This is the fourth incarnation of Robin- with a legacy built up of his own. This is a hardened yet unusual 10 year old assassin-soldier whom is also Batman's genetic son. Not a "tight wearer." His death has been planned since his incarnation, but with six years we grew to love or admire his character development. The whole challenge of being batman and son was a major staple in the current comics and now that its over it changes the outlook on the role entirely. Yeah, he may be on his way back to life with the passage of time due to the fictional setting, but don't discredit the story woven throughout these last years. That's all I have to say.

- This is the most useless news piece done by CBS in a good while now. Why should we care what happens to someone who does not exist, aside from being an intellectual property that belongs to a larger company?

- Actually, the current Robin is Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. Jason Todd is currently Red Hood and much older.

- Jason todd was killed off and brought back as red hood later by dark mystical arts. The article was talking about Damien and then brought up jason to explain that this wasn't the first time.
