MC Hammer arrested, suggests racial profiling

MC Hammer suggests he was a victim of racial profiling when he was stopped and arrested by police in the Northern California city of Dublin.

The '90s rap star tweeted on Saturday that an officer approached him in his car and asked "Are you on parole or probation?"

Hammer, 50, says that as he handed over his ID, the officer reached inside the car and tried to pull him out.

"It was comical to me until he pulled out his guns, blew his whistle and yelled for help," Hammer tweeted. "But make no mistake he's dangerous...only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge. I was citied for obstruction."

Dublin police Lt. Herb Walters told the Oakland Tribune that Hammer, who was born Stanley Burrell, was arrested Thursday for investigation of obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and resisting an officer.

He declined to comment to KTVU about Hammer's version of the arrest.

Hammer tweeted: "Instead of being bitter, I'm taking the opportunity to make this a 'teachable moment' and 'eye opener' for my many friends & colleagues."

Hammer had hits with "Too Legit to Quit" and "Can't Touch This" in the '90s.

These types of incidents are much more than racial profiling. In all these years of this country's history, it was unexplainable the deep-seated hatred of the white man for people of color. Were they borned with a racial gene or what? What I have discovered that it's a combination of pride and envy that's not necessarily directed in the Black man's direction, but is derived from the teachings of Islam! In other words, the racial white man is following the teaching of Islam without claiming to be a Muslim! Islam teaches that Muslims are not only superior than everyone who are not Muslims, but they are required to denigrate, humiliate and exact toll from those they deemed inferior if they had not out right killed them ~ the inferior non-Muslims! This is what the white man envies! He wants to believe that he's the one that's superior than everyone else not the Muslim! The racial white man loves the notion that he can especially consider himself superior than the Black man! This perceived liberty in the racial white man's mind is ok because it's sanctioned by the Koran and he has too much pride to admit he's following the teachings of Islam and too much pride to forsake these demonic ways as long as there are Muslims in this world following the destrcutive teachings of Islam! In addition, it seems the more the white man has trouble with Muslims, they in turn become more aggressive trying to assert that he's superior than someone else ~ hence he's the agitation of the Black MAN, and even for little Black baby boys!

The teachings of Islam that you are referring to are certainly true , but I think it is a coincidence that the racist white male views are derived mainly from this., maybe a very small percentage... Most hatred and racism toward African Americans came about in the mid 1800's just before the Cival War and just festered and grew from then on. I am sure that there were not many Muslims running around the American South pushing this agenda. maybe today, in modern times, the racist white male thinks he is superior to black folks or any body else of color, but its not because of Islamic teachings... Law abiding white,black, and even Muslim folks, we are all Gods children, but keep in mind the evil one is ever present, promoting hatred...

I applaud MC Hammer for stepping up and not being bitter and " making this a teachable moment..." I think this cop needs some time off-

But keep in mind, these cops are in harms way every day... Unfortunately, the stats show that the majority of convictions are from the African American community. I know alot of folks don't want to hear this, but facts are facts. Many African Americans are wrongfully profiled because of the ones who break the law, and there are many- this is why cops go after and "profile so many people, its a matter of statistics I hate to say, its too bad...
