Following several days of media speculation, Adele now wants to set the record straight.

The British singer took to her Twitter account Tuesday to address recent reports that she had a verbal argument with Chris Brown during Sunday's Grammy Awards.

A photograph taken at the awards show appears to depict Adele shouting at Brown, and several outlets began to suggest that the two were engaged in some sort of quarrel. Some speculated that Adele was criticizing Brown for not standing up during the applause during Frank Ocean's win for best urban contemporary album.

But Adele, who won best pop solo performance that night, says this is anything but the case:

Both Adele and Brown were spotted later on that same night smiling and posing for photos together.

My wife's grandmother (who too was British) had a couch covered in that exact same print. ... well close enough if Adel sat on it she would about disappear.
