Britney Spears could soon be Sin City-bound.

The singer is reportedly nearing a deal to headline a Las Vegas concert residency.

Spears' manager Larry Rudolph told "Extra": "We are in deep negotiations and I'd be shocked if it didn't happen. Hoping to have a deal done very soon."

Rudolph also revealed that negotiations have been narrowed down to two casinos, one of which is part of the Caesars Entertainment Group. The deal will reportedly be finalized once the pop star's team decides on a casino.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Caesars' Palace released a statement earlier this month saying Spears was not in talks to come to the Colosseum because the venue is already "packed every weekend" (Celine Dion, Elton John and Shania Twain are performing there through 2014, and Rod Stewart's two-year contract ends in August). But, THR notes, Caesars Entertainment Group also owns additional Vegas properties including Bally's, Flamingo, Harrah's, Paris, Planet Hollywood and Rio.

Spears, for her part, may have hinted at a potential Las Vegas stint on Twitter. Her dog, Hannah Spears, tweeted: "Mommy, are dogs allowed to gamble in Vegas? Gonna cash all my bones in for chips." Spears retweeted the message on her own page, adding, "I don't think so honey #VivaLasVegas :)"

The singer confirmed in January that she was leaving "The X Factor" after one season.

A Las Vegas headliner residency is the equivalent of being put out to pasture. Britney is past her prime now. After Vegas comes obscurity. Or internet porn.
