Leonardo DiCaprio is poised to take a break from movies for a little while.

The 38-year-old actor has had a busy couple of years, shooting the newly-released film "Django Unchained," as well as Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" and Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street."

"I am a bit drained," he told the German newspaper Bild. "I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out."

But that doesn't mean DiCaprio won't be busy.

"I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment," he said, adding, "My roof is covered with solar panels. My car is electric."

When asked what he likes to do in his downtime, DiCaprio told Bild he likes watching basketball, collecting art and spending time with friends.

DiCaprio received a Golden Globe supporting actor nomination for his role in "Django Unchained."

"The Great Gatsby" hits theaters on May 10, 2013, and "The Wolf of Wall Street" is expected out later this year.

He's the best actor of his generation. I still can't understand why he hasn't won a Globe or an Oscar yet. It's the most ridiculous thing I've heard. He has been working all his adult life way too hard. Every single role he's had has been serious, draining, and while some other actors like Heath Ledger for such draining work would end up exhausted, taking pills, Leo has been quite healthy and also able to keep his life private and unaffected by the media.
It would be great if by this break he can finally maybe have a personal life, I just don't see him as the guy who can get satisfied by going from model to model. Though his acting will be missed, so I hope this break is not as long. And I hope the Oscars stop snubbing him. It's ridiculous.

Have you ever been or worked on a set of film shoot? It's exhausting and A LOT of work. Actors and actresses may seem like they get it easy, but the entire process and the 15 hour days with little breaks is stressful. Do it for 9 months, no day off and see how you like your regular guys job.

It's amazing what the illiterati will say (and how they will say it) when trying to use their own brains instead of reading from a script. Perhaps his plane will use solar panels for power, instead of lots of jet fuel. Wonder if he will fly in a private solar powered charter?
LOL
I like Leo on screen though. Movie stars can say any dumb thing they want, or have sex with anything they want. I only care about what's on the screen. I don't pay much attention to anything else they do. None of my business.

I would have to guess that after not winning a Golden Globe- he really has to take assessment of his work and what hes accomplished. They get alot in regards to pay and compensation thats true but to have to give up a great deal of your life, your interests, thats got to be hard sometime especially if you are married or have kids. But for him- not having won a major award- hes got the Tom Cruise Syndrome now- great pay but no accolaides for the work.
