When the Academy Awards take place on Feb. 24, viewers can expect a guest appearance by none other than "Ted," the title teddy bear character in Seth MacFarlane's 2012 hit movie.
The film's star Mark Wahlberg spilled the news during a visit to "Anderson Live," saying, "Because Seth is hosting the Oscars, Ted and I will be appearing at the Oscars."
And "Ted" fans are in luck. Wahlberg confirmed that writers are in the midst of coming up with a screenplay for "Ted 2."
"I've never done a sequel before," he said. " But I have just so much confidence in Seth. He's such a talented and funny guy."
The song "Everybody Needs a Friend" from "Ted" is in the running for a best original song Oscar.
