Disney also announced Monday that the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film has been scheduled for release on July 10, 2015. Johnny Depp will return to play Captain Jack Sparrow.

The studio also revealed release dates for four other films due out next year.

"The Muppets 2" is set to debut on March 21, 2014. Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell will star in the sequel, per The Hollywood Reporter. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," set for April 4, 2014, and "Guardians of the Galaxy," scheduled for Aug. 1, 2014, will both be released in 3-D.

Finally, the Brad Bird-directed, George Clooney-starring sci-fi film "1952," which is also being released in 3-D, is scheduled to open on Dec. 19, 2014.

As far a I'm concerned they can stop charging extra for 3D releases...I'm not alone, feeling that the novelty has worn off. They have yet to make a 3D movie that "includes" the audience.
