Rihanna is an artist and a performer and while some criticize her cannabis views, it can not be denied that she is a strong female role model who exudes strength, confidence, and the independent spirit to speak the truth. If your idea of a role model is someone who is perfect, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Rihanna's idea of a role model is someone who is kind, caring, honest, and dependable like a friend or family member. She doesn't pass judgement on their faults, she embraces the beauty of what they have to offer.
People are good role models because their actions touch other people, Rihanna has inspired thousands of young people and women to take charge of their lives and be proud of themselves. She is in fact a very good role model, and while she did not choose to be one, she understands that young people are influenced by her. Momentary glimpses of her mortality remind us that even good role models have flaws.
