Lady Gaga to star in her own movie

A slice of Lady Gaga's life will be transformed into a film.

The pop star has confirmed that photographer Terry Richardson will be shooting a movie about her life and documenting the making of her upcoming album:

Gaga made it clear that the film is "NOT A SPECIAL, NOT A CONCERT VIDEO. A MOVIE."

The 26-year-old singer also updated fans on her upcoming album, due out in the spring: "Thank you for being so patient waiting for my new album ARTPOP I hope this gets u excited for things to come. I love you with all my heart!"

"ARTPOP" comes on the heels of 2011's "Born This Way." She will be on a North American tour from January through March.
