Roger Ebert has provided an update on his health condition, and it's not looking good.
The 70-year-old film critic recently fractured his hip, but said he was getting better. In a Facebook post on Thursday, though, Ebert revealed that he's having "a lot of health troubles that are keeping me from doing work and functioning online. Best person to contact is Chaz. Not in best of shape."
He also tweeted: "Health troubles keeping me offline. damn, damn."
His wife, Chaz Ebert, also updated Twitter with information on Ebert's health situation, posting photo of him as a young man:
Hospitals have up and down days. This is a down day, intense PT,but Roger is making progress. Fractured hip a bitch. twitter.com/ChazEbert/stat...

Ebert has faced various health issues in recent years and chronicles some of it in his memoir, released last year. He's been battling thyroid cancer and has lost the ability to speak, but has continued to write blog entries and post film reviews for The Chicago Sun-Times.
