Rebel Wilson to host MTV Movie Awards

Rebel Wilson has been chosen to host the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

The network made the announcement Thursday with a trailer that aired during the "Jersey Shore" series finale. (Watch it below.)

Wilson, 28, is best known for her roles in the films "Bridesmaids" and "Pitch Perfect."

She's the first woman to host the MTV Movie Awards since Sarah Silverman emceed the ceremony in 2007. Recent hosts have included Russell Brand, Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari and Andy Samberg.

The MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
