"VH1 Divas": Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks perform

"VH1 Divas," the annual event that brings together the top female artists for a concert, took place on Sunday night at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium.

This year's event featured performances by Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Natasha Beddingfield, Emily Haines and others.

"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert joined Keri Hilson on stage for a tribute to the late Donna Summer and Sparks, Melanie Fiona and Ledisi honored Whitney Houston in a musical performance that featured some of her biggest hits.

Cyrus took the stage wearing a midriff-baring leather jacket with metal spikes and leather pants, singing a cover of Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell."

The newly engaged Kelly Clarkson took the stage singing her new song "Catch my Breath," which was Clarkson' s third performance at the annual event. She first appeared on the show in 2009.
