A full-length trailer for "Man of Steel" debuted Tuesday, and it shows a lot more of Zack Snyder's Superman film than we saw in those two teasers released over the summer.

The clip shows Henry Cavill as a brooding, somber Clark Kent/Superman, as well as glimpses of him as a young boy grappling with how (and when) to use his superpowers.

They are also shots of Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Ma and Pa Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Michael Shannon as the evil General Zod.

"My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, they would reject me. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready," the superhero is heard saying. "What do you think?"

"Man of Steel" is set to open in theaters on June 14, 2013.

Tell us: What do you think of the trailer?

Well, I've heard people give all kinds of reasons either for or against this version of Superman. I'm all for it!!! This movie is what a Superman movie should look like. Bear in mind...I think everyone who keeps bashing the "dumped the boyscout" view are premature. Even though he is Superman, he wasn't born with the knowledge that all the comics give him credence for. Sure, he may not be the boy scout we've known him to be in this film, but that doesn't mean he won't become more like that in the sequels that will follow. The movie hasn't even come out yet and people criticize it as though they sat at the screening. That's a really stupid, foolish, and pretentious position to take. The trailer is awesome and I believe does justice to the franchise. Superman represents what every man wants to be...even if he has his faults...there's nothing like having that kind of power and reputation that come with being Superman.
