Two low-rated new TV series on ABC are getting the ax.
The network is saying goodbye to freshman dramas "Last Resort" and "666 Park Avenue" after 13 episodes each.
"Last Resort" stars Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman as officers of a U.S. nuclear sub targeted by the government. It airs at 8 p.m. EST Thursday.
Speedman reacted to the news on Twitter:
Sorry about the bad news guys. Thanks everyone for supporting the show. I've had a blast working with everyone involved.

The other canceled ABC drama, "666 Park Avenue," is a supernatural tale set starring Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams. The shows, which airs at 10 p.m. ET Sundays, has seen sluggish ratings ever since its debut.
O'Quinn chimed in on Twitter:
Too bad about the show, but.......shit happens.

The news comes on the heels of CBS announcing it would be scrapping its new comedy, "Partners," starring Michael Urie and David Krumholtz. Starting Monday, it will be replaced for now with comedy reruns at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Earlier this season, NBC's "Animal Practice" got the boot.
