One Direction, Britney Spears and more to participate in MTV's "Restore the Shore" fundraiser

One Direction, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj are among the stars that have joined MTV's "Restore the Shore" rally to help rebuild Seaside Heights, N.J. -- home of the network's reality TV hit "Jersey Shore" -- after superstorm Sandy.
"Restore the Shore" is a one-hour television fundraising special that will air live at 11 p.m. ET on Nov. 15 on MTV.

"We're very proud to be partnering with the cast of 'Jersey Shore,' 495 Productions, Architecture for Humanity, some of the biggest names in entertainment and our audience to help rebuild Seaside Heights - a community that is dear to MTV and urgently needs assistance," said MTV President Stephen Friedman in a statement.
The event will feature live performances from Gym Class Heroes and "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, who will perform his hit single "Home."
Stars that have contributed messages of support that will be shown during the broadcast include Swift, Minaj, Spears, One Direction, Alicia Keys, Mac Miller, Pharrell, Pink, Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, Ne-Yo, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, No Doubt, fun., Carly Rae Jepsen, Swizz Beats, the Jonas Brothers, Ludacris, All Time Low, Sean Kingston, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Carson Daly of "The Voice," Ashley Greene, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Jay Leno, the cast of "The View," Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Wendy Williams and more.
Everyone who donates $25 or more will receive an exclusive MTV "Restore the Shore" song bundle, which includes 30 songs from the past six seasons of "Jersey Shore."
