Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel help Sandy victims

Newlyweds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel spent time over the weekend in New York, helping victims of superstorm Sandy.

The couple, along with producer Timbaland, were spotted in the Far Rockaway section of Queens on Saturday. According to People, they spent three and a half hours handing out relief backpacks and blankets to those affected by the storm.

One volunteer tweeted: "Shout out to @jtimberlake & @jessicabiel for serving along side of us in Rockaway & giving the kids something to talk about besides #Sandy."

Another posted a picture of the stars lending a hand:

Biel and Timberlake married in Italy on Oct. 19 and reportedly spent their honeymoon in Tanzania. On Nov. 1, both stars sent messages of support via Twitter.

Singer John Legend was also helping out in Far Rockaway on Saturday. He tweeted:
