"Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars" elimination Week 4: Bristol gone, order restored

Bristol Palin pulls out a little Funky Chicken wing flap during her Rock and Roll number on "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars" on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012

/ ABC

The Bristol effect, the surge of fan votes that kept Bristol Palin afloat and sank better performers, faltered in Week 4 as the 21-year-old Alaskan was sent packin'.

Her ouster ends the specter of a rancorous repeat of 2010, when fan votes kept awful, awkward Palin on the show at the expense of much superior dancers. Palin, who is a much better performer now, was still a long notch below the half-dozen superb dancers in this season's lineup.

It isn't only that Bristol is a mediocre dancer. There have been other performers with her lack of skills or even worse, who were immensely more fun to watch. She's just very young and a little boring.

"We did it , we made it to Week 4, and I'm happy with that. I had an awesome time," said Palin as parents Todd and Sarah watched from the audience.

When Palin survived the double elimination that sent home two former "DWTS" champions last week, it started a firestorm of comments on the CBSNews.com recap story.

"Bristol Palin has proven herself to be a spoiled, pretentious, self-centered brat. Not since, "BABY-JANE HUDSON" pranced across the stage have we ever seen such a pitiful lack of talent from an indulgent precocious child," wrote one CBSNews.com reader.

"Seriously, America, how can you continue to keep Bristol Palin on this show? Talent aside, she's not even entertaining unless you consider whining worthy of prime time," wrote another reader.

I try not to take offense to anyone's choice that is different than mine for their favorite dancer. We all like someone for a reason that is all our own. I personally like Kristie Alley, though she is not the best she is still good and well liked.

For the political haters in here... John 8:7. Also remember that the fans do get to vote so until that changes you can vote for whoever you like and for what ever reasons you like.

Why don't all you Bristol lovers stop whining here about how mean everybody is, and leave? There's a place for you elsewhere that you can tell Bristol's ghostwriter how wonderful you think Bristol is. It's called "Bristol's Blog". Please stop whining here about that piano-legged barely educated inarticulate naif.

For those of you who think the Palins have such high standards and family values, and think that Bristol is "such a good mother and role model"....

A "good" mother sets a good example for her child.......Bristol Palin laughed at her toddler spewing the "F" word on her reality show....no family values demonstrated there. During a TV interview when she was on DWTS the last time, she stated that she would LOVE to win so she could give the "middle finger" to those people who hate her mother. She is arrogant and totally lacks class, just like her mother, and they both are nothing more than greedy media wh@res.

To those who think people are just hating on Bristol, her colleagues didn't seem to think much of her dancing skills either because she wasn't picked by either team for the Team Dance. Does that tell you something?

Something that would be good karma for all you Palin haters would be for President Romney, after the election, to appoint Sarah Palin to a position in his cabinet. Since she's from an energy producing state and she battled oil companies when she was governor, Secretary of Energy would be a good position for her or possibly the Secretary of the Interior or she could be put in charge of FEMA. That would REALLY burn you Palin haters up but there wouldn't be a thing you could do about it! I WOULD LOVE IT! I would also love to see your faces when it's announced! The looks on your faces would be PRICELESS and your color would be something approaching the brightest fire engine red!

First off, you would have to have a President Romney. Secondly, even he would have more sense than to appoint mama Palin to anything.

Romney so far has not given Palin the time of day and neither has Ryan. If you will look at her record as governor you would realize how ineffective she was. It would not "burn me up" for her to be appointed; I would be very concerned about the person who appointed her.Not only that, Palin would spend most of her time "lashing out" at anyone who criticized her. She could never survive in Washington, mentally or intellectually.
