Bette Midler accepts invitation to guest star on "Glee"

Bette Midler is coming to "Glee."
During a charity event on Monday, "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy asked the singer-actress if she would guest star on the Fox series, and she accepted.
Murphy relayed what happened on his Twitter account:
I just asked the incredible Bette Midler to be on Glee in front of 1,000 people. I hope she says yes!

Midler also chimed in via Twitter:

Golden Heart Awards 2012
Murphy reportedly extended the invitation while on stage at God's Love We Deliver's Golden Heart Awards, where he was an honoree and Midler was an attendee. The gala also honored designer Michael Kors.
