Ann Romney gets a gig on ABC's "GMA"

First Lady hopeful Ann Romney will showcase her hosting skills on "Good Morning America" next Wednesday as a co-anchor for the ABC news show.

The network says the wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will join George Stephanopoulos for the morning program at 8 a.m. ET.

She is one of several rotating guest hosts filling in for Robin Roberts, who is on extended medical leave.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Romney's booking has been in the works since last summer. Next Wednesday's show gives her the opportunity to push her husband's platform on the country's highest-rated morning news program just a week after his widely-acclaimed debate performance against President Barack Obama.

ABC says it is in discussion with first lady Michelle Obama for a similar guest appearance when her schedule allows.

Other hosts filling in for Roberts, who had a bone marrow transplant last month, include Stephen Colbert, Oprah Winfrey and the cast of "Modern Family."

Roberts' absence came as "Good Morning America has overtaken NBC's "Today" show in the rating after years in second place.

In July, Roberts told viewers she has MDS, a blood and bone marrow disease once known as preleukemia. She told her fans on the "GMA" blog Thursday that her blood count is doing "great."

So campaigning for her husband was so "hard", but she's got enough extra energy and time to sit around on a morning talk-show?

Oh well. So much for unbiased reporting of the news. So, will she get to ride one of her Olympic 1/4 horses on TV?

fairs fair. Now it is time for Mrs President to join those who advertise they are 'leaning forward' on MSNBC.

Oh, yeah, let's give the Obama camp all the freebies. Don't you think the last 4 years of freebies has been enough already? Why can't a network give the GOP equal time. Every news channel has been so biased to Obama until it has been pathetic. And MSNBC doctoring the "Ryan" chant when it fact the people were saying "Romney". Then Romney corrected the people saying Romney/Ryan and they made it look like Romney was being egotistical which is just the direct opposite. Obama could tell you all the cow jumped over the moon and you all would believe it.

Ah so DOCD admits ABC is a left-wing network. At least they are trying to get Michelle Obama on for a 'fair and balanced' move.

I had wondered how I would boycott GMA. It's time for me to try out CBS. Thanks for the idea.

So George is going to play nice with a Presidential candidate's wife only five weeks until election??? And this is supposed to say "what" to the audience? ABC has already gotten to the bottom of my news list because of it's inability to stay impartial in the election period. I guess the next step is......teetering.....gone!
