Whitney Houston laid to rest in N.J.

WESTFIELD, N.J. - Whitney Houston is being laid to rest at a private ceremony in New Jersey.

Houston died Feb. 11 in California at age 48. No cause of death has been determined.

She is being buried Sunday at the cemetery in Westfield where her father was interred in 2003.

Onlookers were gathering along the route to her gravesite as the police-escorted motorcade headed toward it and the hearse carrying her casket entered the cemetery.

The pop star was mourned at a funeral Saturday at the church in Newark where she sang in the choir as a child.

The invitation-only service featured a tribute by some of the biggest names in the music, including Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys. Kevin Costner and music mogul Clive Davis were among those who spoke.

The cowards at CNN refuse to print any comments I try to place on their blog. Evidently, they don't like someone who is willing to tell the truth. Such as their attempt to cover up suspicious aspects of the situation with Whitney Houston. For example, during the second segment of CNN Presents Saturday, February 18, it was reported that the person in the hotel room directly above Whitney Houston's heard a loud thud and the program takes this to be the sound of her falling in the filled tub. But, when you fall in a filled bathtub, you don't make a thud! CNN never examined this. More tellingly, though, they refuse to print this part of their program! Look to the Transcripts page on the CNN website dealing with CNN pPresents for Saturday, February 18. It stops at the fifteen minute mark! It doesn't go further! The headline for the section even indicates it's supposed to include reports on the a reactor similar to the Fukushima one scheduled to be built in the U.S. and an alleged al Qaeda bomb plot. But those aren't included, either! To avoid the inculpating segment on a "thud" in Whitney Houston's hotel room, CNN eliminated forty five minutes of transcript! If you want proof that what they are saying about the situation with Whitney Houston is a lie, this does so.

This is the problem with our youth. We overlook the ending to celebrate the beginning. This should be a lesson to our young not a recommendation to them. This is a person that had everthing but made some very bad choices and it ruined and and took her life.I remember when John Wayne died, He left a video telling the country how cigarettes caused his cancer,eventually leading to his death. He wanted even his death to have meaning, that it might help somone

Yes, she was far from worthless. She was beautiful, talented and elegant. Bobby was a jackass! haha but hey, it was his perogative! Whitney didn't seem to hurt anyone but herself ( and her family who willl miss her)which is her perogative too. You never know what some people may be going thru and everyone has a weakness. Glad another celebrity circus is over. She may have been a good singer, selling millions of records, but she wasted her life with her addictions and her repeated refusal to do something about getting clean. She only cared about herself and not those who loved her and who tried to help her.

...sadly, she made the conscious choice to continue her abuses, rather than get the help she needed to get clean...she had plenty of opportunities and squandered them...this is fact...it's not vitriol...

Conscious choice? No one forced the drugs upon her; she made the choice and it was a fatal one. It doesn't take a really smart person to understand the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
