Bobbi Kristina Brown, only child of the late singer Whitney Houston, has been released from an LA-area hospital, KCBS has confirmed, after she was rushed there in an ambulance following her mother's death.

Bobbi Kristina, 18, had been staying at the Beverly Hilton, the same hotel where her mother had registered to stay at for a pre-Grammy party Saturday night.

Autopsy on Whitney Houston to begin Sunday

Beverly Hills police confirmed to KCBS that Bobbi Kristina was transported at 10:30 a.m. PT to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

A Beverly Hills Police Dept. watch commander told CBS that Bobbi Kristina was treated for anxiety at the scene.

CBS2's Joy Benedict was on scene when Brown was taken.

According to Benedict, the teen was with three young men who were clearly distraught. They rushed to their car to follow the ambulance, Benedict said.

Benedict was told by police that Brown is expected to be OK.

Houston was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon in her room on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton. She had been planning to attend a party that night at the Hilton.

"There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent," said Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen.

An autopsy was set to begin Sunday.

To those of you that don't understand addiction and think that people "choose" to become alcoholics or addicted to drugs, I can put something in perspective for you. If merely choosing to have an alcoholic drink makes you an alcoholic, think how many alcoholics there would be. Although there are plenty in this world, their choice to have a drink is NOT what caused them to become an alcoholic. Alcoholism is a disease....plain and simple. Some people can have a drink every day of their adult life and still not be an alcoholic. Some people have their FIRST drink and are instantly pulled in....and it is hard to break that cycle. I am not condoning alcoholism or drug addiction, it's just that I see it the way it is. I feel bad that Whitney's life is cut so short, and I feel sorry that her daughter and many others who were close to her will have to face life without her. Let's don't blame Whitney, ok?

How nice to see some level-headed comments on the web. I have been astounded by some of the insensitivity and ignorance I have read today. I am an alcoholic, and I am happily in recovery now.

No-one CHOOSES that life. You just get sucked into it and then you can't get out. I do hope her daughter can avoid the same fate -it must be extremely tough for her right now.

If anyone is suffering from addiction right now and wants to drop me a line at my website, I will be more than happy to help you. Sort My Life Solutions

That's a load of crap. You don't have to take that first drug or drink the first sip. You choose it. No one forces anyone to do this. The answer is plan and simple, just say NO. And yes I have several family members who are addicts so I know what I am talking about. So tired of hearing oh I have a sickness. Well this sickness is the one sickness that YOU can control. So stop with the pity trip, because no one is buying it.

Beth is right. How many kids do you know who say they want to be an addicted when they grow up. It is by far so much more complicated than having the choice to drink that first glass of wine. For many many people that first social glass or fifty or thousand will not be enough to shatter their lives. But for some it is a roll of the dice. That first drink could be the catalysis to a whole crap full of pain. No one truly knows why some people are more susceptible to addiction than others.

I wish Bobbi Kristina Brown and the Houston family God's comfort. What a blessing God gave the world in Witney's voice. May she rest in peace.

yeah isn't that the way, the good parent dies and the loser parent lives on, sad in itself, especially considering Bobby Brown is the reason Whitney is dead after abusing her and pushing her into cocaine addiction. He is a a pig. Whitney's daughter should drop the Bobbi half of her name legally, change it to just Kristina and legally sever ties with her pinheaded father forever for what he did to her mother.
