When Samsung talks strategy, it thinks of Apple

Samsung's worldwide war with Apple will be one of the main focuses at the South Korean company's annual strategy meeting next month, according to a report.

Some 200 "chiefs" as well as top Samsung executives will meet in South Korea next month as part of the company's annual strategy meeting, local news outlet The Chosun Ilbo reports.

According to the report, the company plans to talk shop about its goals, which include changes to its product sales and its legal strategy with Apple.

The two rivals are currently entrenched in a massive legal battle with each other that continues to escalate. Apple won a high-profile U.S. court case in late August that could result in a permanent sales ban on a number of Samsung's mobile devices in the country. The two companies are also that could lead to other bans on both sides.

In the interim, curiosity has heightened over the possibility of a settlement, which legal experts believe to be inevitable. Apple settled a similar, though not as grand, over mobile patents that resulted in a 10-year cross-licensing agreement and an end to all litigation worldwide. One of Samsung's top mobile executives yesterday said the company had no plans to negotiate with Apple.
