YouTube down for some users, working on fix
Updated 5:02 p.m. ET
YouTube reported Thursday that some users may have experienced service outages.
Several Twitter users have reported that YouTube was down for less than an hour, starting at around 4 p.m. ET. The service seems to work fine now for most users, although it's not clear if there are still people how many people may be affected.
Those who could not access YouTube took to Twitter to post screenshots and ask if others were experiencing outages, as well.
A YouTube spokesperson told CBS News via email:
"Some users encountered errors, or a slower than normal experience on YouTube today. Our engineers worked quickly to address the issue and fixed the problem within minutes. We're sorry for any inconvenience this caused our users."
