Texas mom gives birth to two sets of identical twins

One lucky Houston mother is adding four new boys to her family. The quadruplets aren't just any typical multiple birth children: They're two sets of identical twins. The odds of that happening is one in 70 million deliveries.

Tressa Montalvo is now the proud mom of Ace (weighing 3 lbs., 10 oz.), Blaine (3 lbs., 15 oz.), Cash (2 lbs., 15 oz.), and Dylan (3 lbs., 6 oz.) The baby boys were born on Feb. 14, 2013 at The Women's Hospital of Texas in Houston. Identical twins Ace and Blaine came out first at 8:51 a.m. Cash and Dylan followed on minute after.

"We tried to stick to the A-B-C-D theme when naming them," Tressa said in a press release. "We didn't expect it, we were trying for just one and we were blessed with four."

Tressa, 36, and her husband Manuel Montalvo, Jr., 43, found out that she was expecting four bundles of joy during her tenth week of pregnancy.

"When we got to Dr. Kirshon's office, he was quick to say right away, 'You have four,'" mother Tressa Montalvo said to CBS affiliate KHOU in Houston. "And, of course, I just couldn't believe it. If I wasn't already lying down on that table, I would have been on the floor."

"Basically, I just pumped my fist and I was like, 'Yes! Home run,'" Manuel added to KHOU.

Tressa and her husband wanted to have a brother or sister for their 2-year-old son Manuel. Remarkably, they didn't use any fertility treatments or pills.

"No fertility drugs were used. We planned the pregnancy?I guess we just succeeded a little too much!" Tressa said in the press release.

Tressa was able to carry the babies until 31 weeks, and gave birth via C-section. The boys are all healthy and are expected to go home in four to six weeks.

With five boys, the Montalvo already have a large family. However, they still want another addition.

"We want a girl," Manuel said in a press release.

What is wrong with you people!! Can't you just be happy for somebody?? It was a natural occurrence. And do you really need an explanation of how to tell they are twins? There is no reason to call her a witch!!!

Only raise as many children as you can afford.

With the new normal and $10/jobs requiring bachelor's degrees that cot $60k and more with ease, good luck to raising even a single kid...

And people wonder why Latino's will soon be the majority in America. Here's why-they have kids! and they don't sweat their careers (as much), spend money on botox and fish lips, worry about staying thin...blah, blah, blah.

Manuel's enthusiasm is great to read. Five kids AND they still want more. So nice to hear. Here's to the new breed of Latino-Americans and for all you Latino haters--if you don't like it get out there and start humping!!

Agreed.

It is about the religion, noting Catholics wiped out quite a few Mexicans back in the early 1500s.

Plenty of whites, and every other color of human, who practices that "faith" end up breeding too early and too frequently. And get free homes because that's all they did - breed because it's either fun or because God said to let the spigot loose! (Well, not all, but many...)
