U.S. has drone base in Saudi Arabia: NYT

WASHINGTON The CIA conducts lethal drone strikes against al Qaeda militants inside Yemen from a remote base in Saudi Arabia, including the strike that killed the U.S.-born al Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki.

The location of the base was first disclosed by The New York Times online Tuesday night.

The Associated Press first reported the construction of the base in June 2011 but withheld the exact location at the request of senior administration officials. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because portions of the military and CIA missions in Yemen are classified.

  • Congress looks to limit drone strikes
  • Any operation by U.S. military or intelligence officials inside Saudi Arabia is politically and religiously sensitive. Al Qaeda and other militant groups have used the Gulf kingdom's close working relationship with U.S. counterterrorism officials to stir internal dissent against the Saudi regime.

Drones are killings many times more civilians than terrorists and many many times less than terrorists have killed but 75% or more Americans approve it and 100% elected law makers like it. Of course Obama love it. But so far it has killed only Muslims around the globe, and that too Americans like it. But if other nations including terrorists will get this technology and start killings their enemies; similarly America is killing on bare perception, what will happens to the civilized world? Is this drones killings is better than rendition, torturing and killings without fair justice? Does America got this license from the U.N.Human rights Commission, or does not need?

Which side is the Congress on? Remember Bush's doctrine: You're either with us or against us......?

The real story here isn't about the drones or even the scary policy laid out in that memo.

The real story is about just how this memo could come to light and the entire Obama sucking MSM just wrings their hands, ignores or tries to explain with lame excuses for their beloved demi-god.

This media bias presents one of the greatest threats to our country today.

No real questions are being asked of our leadership and they are getting away with murder. (in this case, a 16 yr old boy who just happened to be standing too close to his father) (i make no excuses for the father, he had it coming to him)

Drones, guns, immigration and our insane national debt are not being reported on accurately or even being properly investigated and that will hurt us all in the end.

ps. im no GOPer just calling it as I see it
