Berlusconi blasts "feminist, communist" judges over $260K-a-day divorce settlement

ROME Italian ex-Premier Silvio Berlusconi has blamed "feminist, communist" judges for a euro200,000 ($260,000) a day divorce settlement following the breakup of his second marriage.

Berlusconi told the private La7 network Tuesday that he was appealing the settlement with ex-wife Veronica Lario.

Italian media initially reported the settlement amounted to euro100,000 a day. But Berlusconi said the figure, with arrears, was double that. He said: "These are three women judges, feminists and communists, OK? These are the Milan judges who have persecuted me since 1994."

Lario filed for divorce in 2009, citing Berlusconi's fondness for younger women. The billionaire media mogul is currently on trial, accused of paying for sex with an underage Moroccan teen and using his office to cover it up. He and the girl deny the charges.

$260,000/day is almost $11,000/hr.
How anyone in their right mind could consider that to be a realistic figure is beyond me.

Berlusconi has been accused of corruption and many other things but has never been convicted in a court of law of any wrong doings. This is equivalent to OJ Simpson being found not guilty of murdering his ex wife but later on getting railroaded to prison on a bogus robbery charge in Las Vegas. They couldn't get the murder conviction but wanted to even the score with him any way they could.

actually sweetcakes, he has been convicted recently and is out on bail subject to appeals. The remainder of the charges have expired due to his presidential immunity.

It is well know that he has had links with the mafia as well

He should have just kept paying for sex with hookers every time he needed some booty, it would have been much cheaper than marriage.

Pay up, you sexist, Christianist zealot. Your days of molesting little girls while married are over. You deserve to pay more, and your Catholic zealot industrial church is directly implicated in your hypocritical sex life.

If it were mathematically possible for you to be 200% right, then you would be. Good call.

You are aware that he's been excused for pedophilia, right? The Catholic Church forgave him.

No, this is exactly why women should be judges! I say things should stay this way until we get equal pay.
