Amnesty: Inquiry needed into Qaddafi's death

LONDON - Amnesty International has called on Libyan revolutionary fighters to make public the full facts of how Muammar Qaddafi died, saying all members of the former regime should be treated humanely.

Confused and sometimes contradictory accounts have emerged of how the former Libyan ruler was captured.

The London-based rights group said Thursday it was essential to conduct "a full, independent and impartial inquiry to establish the circumstances of Col. Qaddafi's death."

Were this Germany in 1945, Amnesty International would insist on an investigation to ensure Hitler's death was not at the hands of Russian or American troops.

Remember that Gaddafi was undeniably responsible for decades of brutal dictatorship over his own people, and sanctioned terrorist and criminal acts that killed thousands of innocent people. "A full, independent and impartial inquiry to establish the circumstances of Col. Qaddafi's death" is both unnecessary and irrelevant.

Every death in every conflict in every part of the world cannot be weighed by the same legal standards one would in Ohio. By this kind of inane action, Amnesty risks losing credibility and support.

Amnesty International is made up of a bunch of do-gooders. Who cares about how this guy died. What matters is that he's finally dead. If memory serves me correctly, this group never called for any investigation when the Pan Am flight was blown out of the sky...or when the USS Cole was attacked...or when the Twin Towers were attacked in 1993 and again in 2001...or when our military's barracks were blown up in Beirut...this group picks and chooses to suit their sanctimonious hypocrisy when it comes to matters like this.

AI is no longer relevant with their latest "whine and moan" about how that creep in Libya got whacked...who cares if someone got "caught up in the moment"...it was FORTY TWO YEARS overdue...give me a break...24 hours BEFORE his death I am sure AI was beating the drum about how he had to be stopped and brought to JUSTICE (hahaha!)...on to Syria...I am so tired of hearing of these dictatorial bums being given asylum in places like Saudi or wherever to live a 5 star life until they croak of natural causes...Edi Amin Dada, Baby Doc Duvalier (and their families) as well as others have literally gotten away with genocide, lived the "good life" after being run out of town and where was AI...no where!...it's all a shell game and if the bad guy gets whooped once in awhile in a not so nice way then maybe HIS karma called for it; if not then so be it...move on AI (and others) and try to save real lives in need of saving...Gaddafi needs NO supporters even in death...he was cruel, inhuman and a general bum with too much oil money in his jeans and he took advantage in a serious way...
