Key Nuremberg Prosecutor Dies

(AP)  One of the top prosecutors at the Nuremberg war trials has died in New York.

Telford Taylor was 90.

A friend says Taylor, who also was a law professor, author, and activist, had suffered a series of strokes earlier this month.

Taylor was the chief prosecutor at the trials of nearly 200 Nazis following World War II. Of those, about 150 were convicted.

As a Nuremberg prosecutor, Taylor helped lay the foundation for the principal that governments must be held accountable for mistreating their citizens.
