Report: Navy Seals Abused Valuable Suspect
Three Navy Seals face court-martial for allegedly abusing a terrorist suspect in detention, according to a report on Fox News.
The man accused as the mastermind behind the bloody killings of four defense contractor security guards told investigators he was beaten by the soldiers while in captivity, Fox reports.
The three men, Special Warfare Operators 2nd Class (SO2) Matthew McCabe and Jonathan Keefe, and SO1 Julio Huertas, all requested to be tried by court-martial, Fox reports.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, the terrorist suspect, had evaded U.S. capture until September for the 2004 murders of Blackwater USA employees.
According to a statement obtained by Fox News, one of the Seals said he checked on Abed hours after he was taken into custody and "he appeared in good health."
