Gun owners get a discount at Va. pizza shop

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. A Virginia Beach pizza shop owner is showing his support for firearm rights by giving gun owners a 15 percent discount.

The discount is given to anyone who brings a gun or concealed handgun permit to All Around Pizzas and Deli.

Owner Jay Laze tells news media outlets that he'd planned on offering the discount for a limited time. But he says the response has been overwhelming and he might make it permanent.

Since the discount began last Friday, Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. He says one customer came in with an AK-47.

Laze is a gun owner and says he's always been a supporter of the right to carry firearms.

Laze started the offer after a Utah frozen yogurt shop made headlines earlier this month for also giving gun toters discounts, CBS affiliate WTKR reports.

Laze's support for gun ownership is incorporated throughout his business, the station reports.

"I actually hire delivery drivers that do carry openly," he says.

I wish they would offer that deal in Roanoke. I could use 15% off something. Might offset some of the taxes Obama keeps raising on me and my family.

Prove you are a gun owner and get a 15% discount. Or, go in with a loaded gun and get a 100% discount.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
The measure, called the Firearm Protection Act, declares that any new gun-control laws or executive orders that ban semiautomatic weapons or limit ammunition clip sizes are "unenforceable" in Wyoming. Any federal agent who tries to enforce gun-control measures would be guilty of a felony punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. It also allows the state's attorney general to defend Wyoming residents prosecuted for violating federal gun laws.

If any store has a sign posted of "GUN FREE ZONE", I don't go there, I do not go into a killing field.

In Florida those signs mean nothing. A CCW can walk on in. If discovered he can only be asked to leave. Gun free zones are criminal magnets. I would not take my family there either.

How about the right to NOT be greeted by an armed delivery person when you have a pizza delivered?

Yeah, but how do you know if the place you just ordered from sends packing delivery people?

Anyone should be able to have a gun. No point having a gun if you are not threatened by the fact of someone else having one.

I live in Virginia Beach and I will not be eating there, don't own a gun and want nothing to do with them,,, this is still America and that's my choice!!!

That's correct. It certainly is your choice. I am pro-gun and I too support your right not to eat his pizza and your right not to own a gun. Just don't mess with my right to own a gun.

No one is messing with your eight to own a gun. But you don't have the right to own any kind of gun you want, just like you cannot own any kind of car you want or cannot own a rocket launcher. Nor can you say any thing you want (slander or "fire" in a movie theater). There are all sorts of limits on things we can and can't do. Guns are no different.
