Dozens of pro-Dorner protesters rally at LAPD HQ

LOS ANGELES Dozens of protesters rallied outside Los Angeles police headquarters Saturday in support of Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer and suspected killer of four who died after a shootout and fire this week at a mountain cabin following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory.

Protesters told the Los Angeles Times they didn't support Dorner's deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner's claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department. Many said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner's death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.

New details of Dorner's final hours

Michael Nam, 30, who held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription "RIP Habeas Corpus," said it was "pretty obvious" police had no intention of bringing Dorner in alive.

"They were the judge, the jury and the executioner," Nam said. "As an American citizen, you have the right to a trial and due process by law."

During the hunt for Dorner, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck called for Dorner's surrender and said he didn't want to see the suspect or anyone else injured.

Dorner was already believed to have killed three people when he was cornered Tuesday at the cabin near Big Bear Lake, and during the standoff shot and killed a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy, authorities said.

Only after calls for surrender and use of milder tear gas did deputies launch pyrotechnic gas canisters into the cabin, and the subsequent fire was not intentional, the Sheriff's Department said.

Dorner died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the end of the standoff, sheriff's officials said.

The 33-year-old has already inspired a burgeoning subculture of followers. While most don't condone killing, they see him as an outlaw hero who raged against powerful forces of authority, and some even question whether he really died.

Tributes include a ballad titled "El Matapolicias," or "The Police Killer," penned by a Mexican crooner with lyrics paying homage to Dorner, and a YouTube clip showing excerpts from a video game titled "Christopher Dorner's Last Stand Survival Game" whose opening frame declares him "A True American Hero."

I think it is that people have compassion for mentally injured people. And we want to understand what the role is of the society we have created in causing this recurring problem.

Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.

I wish for the supporters of Dorner to have a person like him enter your lives. I wish for you to personally experience what such a person introduces into the lives of those around him. As you "stand with him," may you fully embrace what it is you claim to support.

Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution

Organized Crme and Foreign Anti-Gov Groups have a VERY HIGH TECH GERMAN GROUP from HOUSTON. These guys have been nick named the PAPERCLIP SCIENTISTS. They authored the so-called ILLUMINATI AGENDA and are now putting the plan into action. CLANS of AFRICAN ISLAMIC GROUPS who protest the Capitalist movement are walking the streets and even their kids are taking notes on any WHITE ANGLO SAXON WOMAN that travels alone and is unawater of her bags and cell phone as possible tarets. Body language is the biggy. Ladies and Gents HOLD ONTO YOUR BAGS and BIKES as if you are positive that someone is about to take them from you on the spot, or they will hunt you down. If you have a predictable schedule and receive checks in the mail, you may notice that FED EX and UPS are becoming more and more timely and precise at showing up at each destination point and passing the info on to others that will meet you in your neighborhood as you come home. Be sure to listen for the HOPRN SIGNAL that goes off as you unlock your door, or decide to use the restroom. Pay attention to your tv speakers-they may go postal on you...keep them unplugged unless you want FED EX to know where you are shopping or banking.

I don't see how people can rally behind anything when so few facts are known. Had Dorner sued the LAPD or given himself up he would have a high profile trial and then maybe we would actually know something. Either way I don't see how murdering people is an answer for anything.

This is what happens when you get murderers that turn on each other.

I think this would have ended with Dorner taking his own life no matter how things set up at the final showdown. It's just good that it was sooner than later. Even so he managed to kill one more person and badly injure another.

I don't understand the pro-Dorner protests, not one single bit. I think it's shameful, after all he did, to accuse the police instead. The murder of the Quan girl and her fiance was especially vicious and vindictive and COLD. What Dorner did was coldblooded and evil.

Yes its all shameful. The same shamefulness for people to support a murderer is the same shame that covers the cop worshipers that ignore the abuse of power by police and the blind eye citizens do when they see obvious and gross misdeeds by police. Dont act so righteous and open your eyes to not just the sins of Dorner but to the wrongs the police commit everyday.

Just take a good look at some of these self righteous cop worshipers here on this message board and how they judge Dorner yet refuse to judge the crooked ways of their idols the cops. And its these idolaters that demand so much justice and claim to be the morally sound citizen of the community. These same hypocrites have a steady arsenal of names and put downs for those who protest police abuse and show some perverted anger towards them like their idol cops are supposed to be some perfect angels.

I honestly try to live my life not being prejudice. However, I struggle so much every time a black person is accused of something and right away it's racial prejudice and the black people come out and protest. If the white race and black race is ever going to get along, black people are going to have to get out of their heads this notion that they are always being targeted. I am sorry that black people have suffered with slavery and civil rights, but this is now the 21st century. Slavery and civil rights is history. Please move along.

I know what your saying and I agree but Geezz! It easier said than done. Wheww! This race has suffered an enormous amount of injustice. You may have the legal right but do not have the moral right to demand this from a race that for 238 years have been forced to suffer injustice after injustice after injustice and now you say just get over it. Im not black but I respect them and I respect the sufferings of their ancestors. And any white man who still talks like a bigot is a threat to this country.

Native Americans have suffered as well.....everything was taken away from them. The war between the states never should have occurred, the politicians should have been able to settle the issue of stavery.

Amen to that. This is truth and correct. Theres one big problem. Cop worshipers that act like sheep and want a master are the ones that think that police will protect them and thats why they want to continue to give them (police) more power and less accountability. Thats why they make excuses for them and look the other way when the cops do wrong. The police are the government. Its that army the government will use to overthrow and reduce the will of the people to mere sheep and servants.

Yup!!!! but its ok! its not more crazier than allowing cops to illegally arrest people and shoot at people before they know who they are shooting at.

Its ok there are a lot of crazy people with crazy thinking here. Like I have not heard not one of you cop worshipers even attempt to address police abuse. All you people know how to do is put people who disagree with you down and acuse them of being crazy.

Well, sir show me or post something that is sound and clear of thinking that addresses the issue that this protest is about: police abuse.

You're responding, you realize, to an idiot who doesn't even comprehend that the police are under more scrutiny than any other group of professionals in the United States. IHLGA is not hoe worst. But his or her plaint about poor, poor, poor black folks being oppressed, oppressed, oppressed is pathetic. Let's put it quite simply. Ask and so-called "African American" if he or she thinks they would be better off if there had been no slavery. You will most likely get an answer that betrays their inherent inferiority and inability to reason at anything more than a grade school level. Black history month speaks for itself. Personally, I don't know any white people who make statements like "I am proud of myself because I am white." Black entitlement is a disease, black outrage is an excuse. Had DOrner been white, NO ONE would be organizing cult worship groups. But Hispanics and blacks are just stupid enough to do so. EVERY time.
