BIG BEAR, Calif. The charred remnants of a fireplace and an angel statue standing in the middle of the rubble is what little is left of the mountain cabin when ex-Los Angeles police officer Christopher Dorner died in a raging fire.

Dorner reward money: Will anyone get to claim it?

CBS Station KCBS got a first look Friday at the cabin where officials say quadruple-murder suspect Dorner lost his life on Tuesday.

The final hours of the manhunt for Dorner -- wanted in the fatal shooting of three people -- began when Jim and Karen Reynolds opened the door of one of their rental condos, where Dorner had holed up.

He tied up the couple and stole their car, but they worked their way free and called 911 -- triggering a chain of events that ended with Tuesday's shootout in which two officers were shot. San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremiah MacKay, 35, died from his wounds.

The siege continued for hours until tear gas was shot into the home. A fire was ignited and raged through the cabin. Dorner's body was later found in the ashes.

It is unclear if the cause of death was from the fire, or a single shot which KCBS correspondent Carter Evans, who was at the scene, heard moments after the cabin started to burn.

On Thursday coroner's officials confirmed that the charred body found inside the cabin was Dorner.

So do the tied-up ladies who called 911 and the carjacked guy get some of that $ million reward? Or are they going to get screwed as usual?

Nobody was ever going to get any money.

The reward was on condition of catch capture and conviction.

Which everyone knew wasn't going to happen.

Yet they didn't mention that until after he was dead.

I hope this can finally bring a close and that the people who seem to worship this cold-blooded killer, will take down the Facebook and stop hero worshipping him. A person who kills in cold blood four people, two of them being innocent civilians, and one being a woman, is certainly not a hero. Also, for goodness sake, stop saying it was LAPD who was involved in these actions on Bear Mountain. This was not LAPD jurisdiction. It was San Bernardino PD involved. Now please stop making this killer out to be some sort of new cult leader for the weak in mind.

And what about police mentors that kick civilians in the head? Do we just ignore their actions? Did Dorner and the others die and now we just stick our heads in the sand agian?

How do you know he did those things? Did you hear from the police? or was he tried in a court of law? I bet if you did something wrong you would like your day in court, or are you from some other country that doesn't have due process of law?

Christopher Dorner was denied a fair trial by judge Yafee. Judge Yafee accepted over $500,000.00 in payments from Los Angeles County. Dorner never had a chance in court against the Los Angeles police department.

SECTION 5 of SENATE BILL SBX211
This bill would provide that no governmental entity, or officer or employee of a governmental entity, shall incur any liability or be subject to prosecution or disciplinary action because of benefits provided to a judge under the official action of a governmental entity prior to the effective date of this bill on the ground that those benefits were not authorized under law.

HISTORY OF RETRO ACTIVE IMMUNITY IN THE UNITED STATES
1. given for illegal merger of banks (we can see the effects of that now) 1965
2. given for unconstitutional use of torture 2008
3. given to telecom company for illegal wire taps. 2008 (Fisa bill)
4. given to Judges for taking bribes. (SBX211) 2009

SBX211 Retro Active Immunity given to California judges for openly taking bribes. Judges are employees of the State they receive their pay and benefits from the State. The Los Angeles Superior court judges are currently receiving an additional $57.688,00 from the county of Los Angeles. there is no bigger user of the court than L.A. County.(A party to the case and has a financial interest in most cases in the courts) Those payments were found to be unconstitutional / illegal in Sturgeon vs Los angeles County. After that decision the judges paid a lobbyist to pass SBX211 ( RETRO ACTIVE IMMUNITY )

SBX211 does not restore due process
SBX211 violates Article 1 section 9
SBX211 violates the 14th amendment (no equal protections)
SBX211 violate checks and balances between legislative and Judicial powers.
Judges do not disclose the county payments at the onset of any trial where the county is either a party to the case or has a financial interest. (Judges violate Judicial codes of ethics)
Judges refuse to recuse themselves when requested under CCP170.
Judges find themselves unbiased and then file an order striking statement.
Changing the California Constitution requires a vote of the people and SBX211 was never put up for vote.

Not only do judges get paid a state salary of $178,789.00 a year with medical and retirement benefits up to 75% of their salary, with the county payments the Los Angeles Superior court judges are the highest paid judges in the Nation. Los Angeles County takes tax payer money and then gives the judges that money to only have the judges rule against the tax payer in favor of L.A. County or the County's interest. THE BRIBES WORK.

Robert Kennedy tried to stop this congressional travesty back in 1965.
Quote: The very idea of retroactive immunity for lawbreaking corporations is so radical, so repugnant to the most basic principles of the rule of law.

Nice article Coop. Money certainly corrupts and since I live on the east coast, I have not heard of the degree of corruption you guys have to deal with. I thought that was reserved for the windy city. I really like the CBS newsman this morning who recorded the deputies plotting to burn the house down. Dorner may have been a murderer, but the deputies transgression was 10 times worse. There needs to be more and more sunshine on your contentions. Come on CBS, you have the recordings, now press them to the bitter end.
