Couple: "Calm" Christopher Dorner tied us up in our condo

LOS ANGELES A California couple says fugitive ex-police officer Christopher Dorner tied them up in their mountain condominium and stole their car before the firefight that led to his presumed death.

Karen and Jim Reynolds said at a news conference Wednesday that they came upon Dorner when they entered the condo in Big Bear, Calif. Tuesday, and believe he'd been there as early as Friday.

They say Dorner had a gun but said he wouldn't hurt them.

CBS Los Angeles station KCBS-TV reports Karen said, "He talked to us. Tried to calm us down. And saying very frequently he would not kill us."

"He was very calm and very methodical," said Karen.

Authorities couldn't immediately verify their story, but it matched early reports from law enforcement officials. Later reports said the incident involved two women from a cleaning crew.

The Reynolds said they went to the cabin noon to clean it for rental purposes, and that's when they -- and not two cleaning ladies as had been reported - met up with Dorner, KCBS says.

The Reynolds say he tied their arms and put pillowcases over their heads before fleeing in their Nissan.

Karen Reynolds managed to get to her cell phone and dial 911.

The couple, who said Dorner had his gun drawn the entire time, said they were with the suspect for 15 minutes, KCBS adds. "It felt like a lot longer," said Karen. "I really thought that it was the end."

Oh, we don't have to hope nothing bad on anyone, because any person who overlooks that what they don't want done unto them or their family members, yet has the nerve to judge without seeing the whole picture, simply need prayer. Two wrong don't make a right, and when you refuse to see how you are hurting someone because justice is just not something that you are able to relate to, these type of things will continue to go on. When you really start seeing what someone else is experiencing, you will learn to use resolve that values life overall... not just those that you see fit. All Life Matters...or don't you know that?

I think that if I was tied up Like this couple claims to have been...I dont think I would have been emotionally stable as they are....C'mon Dorner was a trained cop and the military wouldn't you think he can tie a knot real well not loose enough for someone to get loose and have some time to call the "cops" ODD I tell ya!!!!!

I thought he would be killing everybody he came in contact regardless if they were the police and the people mentioned in his manifesto.
He could have killed these two and it would have been much easier than tying them up and having them escape or the guy he carjacked and let go with his dog.
People do strange things.

I find it impossible to believe that so many of you think Dorner is now a "hero". He KILLED people....and whether he was correctly or incorrectly fired from his job....killing people is against the law!!!! So would it be OK for every person in this country who is fired to shoot 3 or 4 people? All the gun laws and background checks in the world can't protect us from idiots like you people who think Dorner is some kind of folk hero. You're really sick puppies!

Law enforcers use guns to enforce laws. Dorner was trying to do that in a dirty way to dirty cops.

American media does not report the news as real events confirmed by the right authorities, they just report on events with their spin on it to make it as dramatic as possible. Just like the FOX channel. I think one of the few news media still reporting true and confirmed events is the BBC.

Little ironic isn't it that he may be dead because he wasn't more ruthless. If he had slit the old codgers' throats, instead of treating them decently and tying them so they could free themselves, they wouldn't have called the cops two minutes after he left. You'd think that would have occurred to the couple, and they might have given him at least at 10 or 15 minute head start.

Are you seriously suggesting giving a head start to someone who had killed multiple innocent people? You are the problem in this country. All the gun bans and background checks in the world won't protect us with idiots like you running around. This guy was not the Lone Ranger....he was a cold blooded killer, no different from the guy in Conn who murdered the children.

There should be a lot more information coming out about this, but it won't. The news media will drop this very soon after he is identified (if that is his body). Like there could ever be Corruption, Racism, Criminal Activity in an organization like the LAPD? Obama will probably assign his own private investigator to look into this matter, the same one that is still investigating what really happened to the US Ambassador to Libya (I think they're using the same one that OJ hired to find the REAL KILLERS).
