Casey Anthony seeks venue change in civil trial

ORLANDO, Fla. Attorneys for Casey Anthony are asking for a venue change in her coming defamation trial.

Her attorneys filed paperwork this week seeking to have the trial moved out of Orange County.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that attorneys argued that Anthony can never get an impartial jury due to pretrial publicity.

Anthony was acquitted last year of murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Her attorneys argue "the local media refuses to move on" and that the public feels as though "justice was not served" in the criminal case.

After Caylee disappeared in the summer of 2008, Anthony told investigators that a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped the toddler. Gonzalez later sued Anthony, claiming her reputation had been ruined.

The lawsuit is set for trial in January.

I feel I am violating Lil' Cayle all over again just by reading something that this so called woman is whining about.I and a lot believe she is guilty and got away with MURDER.Some say it may have been an accident.Even if this were so-She still should of went to prison for covering and lying.And then trying to blame it on her own father "WOW" how low can you go??She's happy with her innocent verdict so why move a trail;Does she not trust a different 12 people will fall for her same lies??In my eyes they should of locked her up and thrown away the key so she has to deal with what she did each and every day.Casey should believe in freedom of the press and continue to be reminded of what she really did!!!

Twelve People found Casey Anthony Not Guilty of Murder. That should say it all. The prosecution had every opportunity to present any convincing evidence at trial and TWELVE People found her NOT GUILTY. I would like to know if it were you would you want someone to harrass you the rest of your life after you were found NOT GUILTY. This woman suing is only in it for the money. The Orlando Detectives searched this woman out and confronted her, but saying that there are many others by the same name as Zenida Gonzales out there but they are not pointing fingers. The law enforcement is the ones that ruined this womans life by bringing the press with them when they found a woman,(Wrong Age, Wrong Hair Color, Wrong Height according to the police reports) and confronted her with the press in tow. The media needs to be sued not Miss Anthony.

Casey Anthony pointed to this womans apartment and led police to her apartment door and you think the media should be sued? She continously lied about everything she did in life...I would say more but i wont waste my breath on STUPIDITY!!!!

How can you HONESTLY say the press ruined her life.Every other case where a mother was taught to have killed a child gets the same press time.She may have more for she was found "NOT GUILTY".Just because "12" peers found her not guilty doesn't mean the rest of America believes such.In my opinion and more then 50% of us do believe she IS GUILTY!!! I don't understand that deep in your heart you HONESTLY believe she didn't have a hand in this innocent child's life.If ya'll believe she can't get a fair trial;Then who's to say that they didn't get her murder charge correct.Why should she be able to pick and choose.I don't read all the press for I believe if I do I am helping her get away with murder.Just another O.J. and Michael Jackson-Do you believe they were innocent because 12 people said so?????
