MILWAUKEE, Wis. A medical examiner says the wife of the suspected gunman who was the subject of a restraining order issued last week was among three women killed in a shooting rampage at a suburban Milwaukee spa.

The Waukesha County medical examiner's office said Monday that 42-year-old Zina Haughton, of Brown Deer, was killed Sunday at the Azana Day Spa.

The other victims are 35-year-old Cary L. Robuck of Racine and 38-year-old Maelyn M. Lind of Oconomowoc.

Four more women were injured and remain hospitalized. One is in critical condition and the other three are in satisfactory condition. Their names haven't been released.

Police say the suspect, 45-year-old Radcliffe Franklin Haughton, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the spa.

According to court documents, Zina Haughton said her husband threatened to throw acid in her face and jealously terrorized her "every waking moment." In a separate police report, she said the couple was in theprocess of getting a divorce and "we are always arguing."

In a written request for a restraining order filed Oct. 8, Zina Haughton said her husband was convinced she was cheating on him and that he also vowed to burn her and her family with gas. He said he would kill her if she ever left him or called the police, according to the court papers obtained Monday by The Associated Press.

Haughton was arrested earlier this month for slashing his wife's tires. She was granted a four-year restraining order on Thursday.

Under the order, Haughton was prohibited from owning a firearm.

A .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun was used in the attack, said agent Tom Ahern of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

CBS Affiliate WDJT reports that a just-released criminal complaint details a stand-off that Radcliffe Haughton had with police in January 2011. The complaint said his wife called police after he started throwing her clothes outside and poured tomato juice on her car.

Once police got there, the complaint said, Haughton stood against the window with an unidentified silver and black object in his hand.

When it ended no one was hurt, but he was charged with domestic violence - a charge that was eventually dropped later that year because a witness failed to appear in court.

Haughton's father, Radcliffe Haughton, Sr., spoke to The Associated Press shortly before police announced that they had found his son's body. He said he had last spoken to his son a few days ago but didn't know anything was wrong. He begged his son to turn himself in.

After learning of his son's death, he said only: "This is very sad."

The shooting prompted Democratic lawmakers in Wisconsin to reintroduce a bill designed to take guns away from perpetrators of domestic violence. Sen. Lena Taylor says there are inconsistent standards across the state for the collection of weapons. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department has not responded to messages left asking whether Haughton surrendered any weapons as ordered.

After millions of years of eating RAW meat, what kind of people do you think they would be?! Have they discovered FIRE yet?! Seriously, there's a YouTube video of a man making fire with 2 sticks. Pinch me--but isn't this the 21st century?!

If you want to dive into an empty pool, do we outlaw swimming? If you want to date neanderthals, why not get a gun? The guy probably didn't need a gun to do this, and that was probably his most attractive quality.
People think we're one or two reasonable decisions away from utopia, ya, it's probably true, but who haven't you told?

All those ladies in the club should have had loaded handguns at the ready in case this happened. Or if they just did not like the way someone looked at them.

Where is the outrage in this article concerning violence against women and racism? CBSNews was only too glad to carp on and on about racial violence when a mixed-race Hispanic neighborhood watch captain shot a black teenager in Florida who was trying to beat him to death earlier this year; however, when a black man shoots 8 white women at a spa in Wisconsin, I notice that there is no similar outrage.

Should people with a restraining order get their guns confiscated for a set period of time like 30 days, like a calm down period?

Yes, it is so very sad. I think of my own wife - is she in danger at the hairdressers? At the store? At the Dr Office? A demented individual can enter any location and do permanent damage or kill peoples without warning. No set of preventive laws will stop this, never has never will. My wife is a CCW as am I, and hopefully that will help, but that is no guarantee against an unwarranted surprise attack, no matter how well one is armed.(Pearl Harbor) Innocent people continue to be killed or maimed by weirdos. Even if every law-abiding citizen was armed at all times, these events will happen. I carry a gun because a policeman is too heavy. I hope to never have to use it in anger...but I will protect myself and family first. If this guy didn't have a gun he would have made a bomb or thrown acid or rammed her car or or or. It was bound to happen regardless and no restraining order would have prevented it. Put him in jail and when he got out...bang! If somebody in that SPA was CCW, maybe he would have been stopped after the second or third bullet...but who knows. Sad, very sad...

It seems that in this country it has been open season on womemen and children for sometime. The offenders get a slap on the hand and are released. It is our judicial system that is failing us.

I really don't get why anti-gun people seem to think that criminals will follow the law. Notice that the police were unable to prevent this nor able to respond in the time it took the psycho to kill these people. Too bad no one had a CCW to protect themselves.

So let's assume for a moment that at least one, and maybe more, people on or near this scene were licensed to carry a gun, had the gun handy, saw the shooter, correctly assessed what he was about to do, determined a need to shoot him in order to defend self and others, determined that he or she had a clear shot and so positioned himself or herself to take that shot. Now there is more than one person aiming a gun at another human being. At this point, who is readily able to tell the "good guy" from the "bad guy" and how likely is it that the "good guy" will shoot and injure or kill only the "bad guy"?

at least the coward did himself in. We don't have to waste tax dollars keeping him on death row. Why we don't start ramping up our death row death sentences is besides me.
