Evacuations in Hollywood after explosives found

(CBS News) A man was arrested in Los Angeles Monday after witnesses reported shots being fired from his apartment balcony on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, according to local reports.
While there were no reported injuries, police arrived on the scene and found the alleged gunman barricaded inside his apartment, reports KCBS in Los Angeles.
The suspected gunman has not yet been identified.
Police closed off surrounding streets to traffic and eventually entered the apartment, KCBS reports.
When officers searched the apartment, they found various weapons, including a shotgun and a stick of dynamite, Officer Karen Rayner told KCBS.
The LAPD evacuate nearby homes and businesses and placed at least one school on lockdown after finding the explosives, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Two other people were also taken into custody.
