(AP) MIAMI - Forecasters are keeping a wary eye on Tropical Storm Isaac in the Atlantic Ocean that poses a potential threat to Florida during next week's Republican National Convention in Tampa.

National Hurricane Center computer models Tuesday predicted the storm would grow into a hurricane over the next few days. Some models had the storm striking Florida or passing close after moving across Cuba as early as Sunday.

Forecasters caution that long-range storm track predictions can be off by hundreds of miles. A hurricane hunter plane confirmed the storm Tuesday.

Thousands of Republicans will gather in Tampa next week to nominate Mitt Romney for president and Paul Ryan for vice president. GOP and Tampa officials say they have contingency plans in case a storm blows through.

Folks,

Soon, President Obama will be flying down to Tampa to help the waterlogged GOP as the Conservative around them are begging the U.S. Government for tax dollars (Spending) for relief.

Are you going to start listening GOP?

Didn't think so.

I don't want anyone to be harmed physically or have property damaged!...However, if the hurricane causes great harm to Tampa during the convention, will the 700 Clubbers, etal, call it God's vengeance and message to the far/Christian Right that he/she is not amused?

It is ominous.

Seems like a setup for Old Testament style retribution with Isaac bearing down......if I believed that sort of tripe.

Interesting that the Hurricane's name is Issac.

Issac is honored in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

I guess we get to see if the Big Guy upstairs is going to send a gentle reminder about who's really in charge to the Hank Williams/GOP love fest.

This is one screwed up website. When I posted my comment earlier, it showed that there were "0" comments. Now it's showing that there were actually "7" before me. Also, right now, one minute it says there are 4 pages, and the next there are only 3 pages.

I wonder if there will ever be a time where CBS will have someone that actually knows how to set up and run a website?
