(CBSNews) SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. - Firefighters came to the rescue of a 900-pound pig that got stuck in a pond in southwest Florida.
Strawberry was successfully pulled out of a pond behind a home in Southwest Ranches, 15 miles southwest of Fort Lauderdale, by members of the Pembroke Pines Fire Department and Southwest Ranches Volunteer Fire Department, CBS Miami reported.
The owner of the enormous two-and-a-half-year-old Yorkshire swine said he was getting ready to take her to Wakulla, in the Florida panhandle, when she slipped into the five-foot-deep water.
Neighbors saw the pig fall and helped keep Strawberry's head up above water while the owner dialed 911.
The firefighters used a ladder and a large tarp to rescue the pig.

- OMG, yes!!!!! And ribs with my home-made BBQ sauce (the big fat meaty ones - some folks call them Hollywood ribs); pork chops, thick-cut and stuffed; pork butt roast slow-cooked until it falls apart (put it on a bun and it's to die for); and last but not least - pork sausage gravy and bisquits. Are y'all hungry yet, LOL!!
