(AP) FALLBROOK, Calif. - Animal services officials are seeking a suspect who tied five puppies to a tree under an active beehive in San Diego County. Three of the dogs were found dead and two were critically injured.

County spokeswoman Tracy DeFore says firefighters discovered a gruesome scene when responding to a suspicious fire in a Fallbrook field Thursday at about noon.

Approximately 25 feet from the fire, the puppies were found under a tree, bound to its trunk.

Two 5-month-old Jack Russell Terriers died from strangulation, most likely a result of their desperate attempts to escape the swarm of bees.

A five-month-old Rottweiler died from unknown causes.

Two more puppies were stung dozens of times and have been receiving around-the-clock care.

Investigators are seeking witnesses who can describe the person who left them.

Sounds like a Michael Vick moment! The perpetrator is a lower animal than the puppies he/she tortured.

Takes a twisted person to do this and they don't need to be allowed to continue to walk around in society.

The idiot is either evil or a moron. Outlaw tail docking, declawing of cats, and set super high standards before dog breeders are allowed to go into business. Make the trade of animals without these standards illegal and punishable with fines and/or jail time. Its time we not only made these laws for domestic cats and dogs, but also wild and farm animals so that factory farms are a thing of the past. If its not humane, its insane.

This is several steps over the line. It is unmitigated evil that must be encountered and dealt with.

God won't let this stand. A just and loving God who created all animals and humans can't let this stand. This kind of evil can have only one reply....justice.

A full and exacting recompence awaits to be executed against whosoever is directly responsible for this....all in God's time....and His way...and let me assure you, the punishment will match the crime.

"Be not decieved, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, THAT shall he also reap" and just because God's word is not believed won't change the fact that God's justice will be carried out regardless.

since you mention God- you may as well mention Satan- who the person who did this worships. Remember the advice whomever abuses animals probably children are next? This is not a saying it's a fact. Fallbrook CA is a satanic worshipping location, someone should look into missing children in the area, bones, clothing etc and satanists (yes, they still practice to this day, your kids and pets may be tortured) of course stupid jerks will mock my comments as "crazy" that's what they do, discredit the truth
