Phoenix police say mom forgets baby on car roof
(AP) PHOENIX - Phoenix police have arrested a woman who allegedly drove off after forgetting that her 5-week-old baby was in a car seat on the roof of her vehicle.
Officer James Holmes said officers were called out early Saturday after witnesses found a child strapped in a safety seat in the middle of an intersection.
The boy wasn't hurt. He's now in the custody of Arizona Child Protective Services.
Authorities say the child's mother, 19-year-old Catalina Clouser, her boyfriend and their friends had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening at a nearby park.
Upset that her boyfriend was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, police say Clouser went to the home of friends and smoked more marijuana.
Clouser left around midnight. Police say she apparently put the sleeping baby on the roof and drove off, forgetting he was there.

- I think everyone going back and forth about the legalization or not are missing the big picture. Legalism doesnt work. I think the fact that our prisons are more packed than ever and are only getting more over crowded by the day shows that. You can set speed limits and people will still speed. It comes down to a mindset. Her way to cope with her boyfriend being arrested for a crime was to commit a crime while taking along her illegitimate child. Well I guess multiple crimes if you want to add the child endangerment. This mindset is completely out of whack.

- My father (who was all about rules like "Things that should not be sat on should not be left on places where people sit" and "If you drop the soap, do not move until you know where it is and then only to immediately pick it up") once left his wallet on top of the car. Every summer we get the story of the parent who forgot the baby was in the back seat when they parked the car at work. Sometimes **** happens, sober or stoned.

- This broad is obviously too stupid to be a mother. Too bad she can't be sterilized in addition to losing the custody of her baby.
