Calif. man cuts off his hand with kitchen knife

(AP) ADELANTO, Calif. - Investigators say a Southern California man deliberately cut off his hand with a kitchen knife, but it's not clear why.

A San Bernardino County sheriff's sergeant says deputies found the victim after responding to a 911 call from the man's Mojave Desert home on Wednesday afternoon. The man didn't place the call.

The Victorville Daily Press reports it's not clear why the man cut off his hand. It's not known if drugs were involved.

The man, whose name is being withheld, was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center. There are no details about his condition or whether surgeons attempted to reattach the severed hand.

Why is it that you always want to blame God for the problems of this world?

You obviously believe in Him or you wouldn't constantly bring His name up. Do you hate Him because you feel slighted because all your years as a marine was during peace time and you never got to see any 'real' action? Does that somehow make you feel less a Marine? Or did you see too much 'real' action? Did your wife leave you? Did she later marry a Christian man? Is a Christian raising your children? Or could it be that you have never even actually read the Bible? Are you just following the Pied Pipers in their opinions of what did and didn't happen? What is it that you blame God for, because it is really obvious that you HATE God rather than just not believing in Him.

See, people like yourself, never seem to think of the other side of the coin; can't think past your own pain and hatred. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, BAD or EVIL or WRONG will ever come from God and if you think it does then you are truly not thinking clearly yourself.

Seriously here, have you never heard "of giving the devil his due"? Your blaming the wrong "power" and in doing so, selling yourself out to him too.

I have read many of your posts and I don't think I'm the only one that can tell how miserable you are with life but you can't blame God for not being there when you only invited the Devil to your pity party.
