Delta jet rolls off taxiway in Atlanta
(AP) ATLANTA - Cranes are moving a jet that rolled off a taxiway and was significantly damaged at the world's busiest airport in Atlanta.
Delta Air Lines spokesman Eric Torbenson says mechanics were testing the engines of the Boeing 737 when there was a problem with the braking system around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says no passengers were aboard. There were two maintenance workers on the plane but no one was hurt.
Video aired by WSB-TV showed the tilted jet on an embankment.
Delta spokesman Anthony Black says the jet is going to be taken to a maintenance facility for a full structural investigation.

The "backward flag", the toem under which the military depredations of the New World Order are carried out, absolving them of all legitimate litigation for depravity, has emblazoned infantry and National Guard uniforms from Afghanistan to Iraq to even the United States for a decade now. Quislings for the New World Order insist that it is only meant to be "a nod to" the tradition of flag bearers to march into battle, with the flag trailing backwards, so it was a suggestion of the military advancing. But you do not change the officially designed insignia of a nation just to suggest imagery! If you need, use the three dimensional depiction flaying backward, but not the flat, defined symbol of the nation! "The" flag is the signature of America; represented backwards, it's like a signature written backwards.
More than that, though, the bhackward flag has been displayed in many ways ostensibly not in keeping with a representation on a uniform. Such as Bush holding the Amewrican flag backwards to the world during the 2008 Olympics. Or the flag from the World Trade Center carried backward in tribute at the 2012 Winter Olympics. Or the flag being backward on the space shuttle, which is not supposed to be a military venture. Or backward flags appearing on poilice cars and police uniforms, fire engines and fire fighter uniforms. Or Richard Branson's SpaceShipOne, which was supposed to be a civilian, not military, operation. Or on all United States supposedly civilian commerical airline flights that cross international borders. Perhaps the position of the backward flag shows where on each plane the Global Hawk remote control, which could have been used to fly the planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, is located so it can be shot out of commission if others seek to use it.
Among the most significant and egregious results, though, has been that the air is apparently becoming less and less capable of supporting conventional aircraft. It began about six or seven years ago, as spates of about three weeks or so when plane craqshes were daily or every other day events, separated by spans of a few months. Since then, the spates have gotten longer and the separations shorter. Now, it appears, patches of denatured atmsophere can always be found everywhere around the globe. Commercial airlines yhave gone to enormous lengths to avoid having planes encounter those regions. "Accidents", "malfunctions" and "incidents" on the tarmac in record numbers are used to keep planes from flying into such abnormal air. "Cancellations" and "delays" are at unprecedented levrels. And "accidents", "malkfunctions" and "incidents" in the air are used to "divert" planes around these contaminated regions of atmosphere. Never before did a pilot refuse to take off because two men aboard were wearing "imam garb"; never before did a plane return to the terminal because a young man aboard was wearing baggy jeans that showed his underwear; never before did a pilot suddenly decide that she could take off until a part she knew was damaged had to be repaired. This slipping of the jet off the runway seems just another "excuse" to avoid flying into denatured atmosphere. If they have to have a jet "overshoot its destination" because pilots aboard were "preoccupied" in something else, in order to avoid unnatural patches of atmosphere, the airlines will do it.
If this is allowed to continue, soon, only the corporate rich, the politically powerful and the military and ;olice will be allowed to fly, in the non-aerodynamic tirangular or diamond shaped drones that are being reported seen.
It could take months to work that experience out and feel comfortable again.
