Columbine students attacked with hammer at school

LITTLETON, Colo. - A teenage girl accused of attacking two students with a hammer at Columbine High School had warned a school employee of the attack moments before it happened.

Jefferson County School District security director John McDonald says investigators Monday were trying to gather additional details.

McDonald says the 14-year-old suspect targeted a 15-year-old girl in a bathroom. A male student saw the attack developing and was injured while stopping it. McDonald says he could not immediately release details of the injuries.

The Littleton high school was the scene of one of the worst school attacks in U.S. history. Students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold opened fire on April 20, 1999, killing 12 classmates and a teacher and wounding 26 others before killing themselves in the school's library.

I bet that this girl was bullied and bullied and made fun of till one day she just had enough. Then when the bullies get beaten, the media portrays them as the victims and the bullied as the monsters.

The problem is constant bullying between students and the parents of these bully kids who put the anger into these kids in the first place by poor parenting. If the girls is threatening other kids with a hammer just think about what her parents are threatening others with. One needs to ask why does she feel threatened enough to threaten others in the first place? Who is bullying her to make her want to lash out and harm others? There is always more to the story than what initially is. Public schools nowadays are not safe places to educate our children anymore. One wonders what kind of community is Columbine, what kind of people live there? Obviously not very smart ones, who raise kids who want to blow up schools and take a hammer to someone.
