Meter reader sues Casey Anthony for defamation

ORLANDO, Fla. - The meter reader who discovered the remains of Casey Anthony's 2-year-old daughter in 2008 is suing her for defamation.

Roy Kronk's suit was filed Wednesday. His attorney says Anthony's defense team made multiple false statements, including that Kronk killed 2-year-old Caylee, that he was a child snatcher and that he moved the remains, according to a story in The Orlando Sentinel.

Anthony initially reported her daughter had been abducted, but her attorney, Jose Baez, said during trial she knew her daughter had drowned in the family pool.

Anthony also faces lawsuits from Texas EquuSearch and Zenaida Gonzalez, whose name Anthony initially gave authorities as a possible abductor.

Anthony was acquitted of killing Caylee and released from jail in July.

A message left for Baez wasn't immediately returned.

He discovered the body, PLEASE SOMEONE, EXPLAIN WHY he was In that area, NO HOUSE, NO METER, more than 50 feet off the road, nearest house / meter was over 500 feet away!!! And I KNOW that I don't go wading in water to go take a leak!!! SOOOO
WHY WAS HE EVEN IN THAT AREA??????

First, Florida didn't acquit her, a jury did. Secondly, why in the world would he have to prove he didn't move the body? Here's a meter reader doing his job; finds human child remains and reports it; is smeared through a trial in an effort for the defense to blame everyone but Casey Anthony, and people say he's merely a gold digger? This case has been nothing but a travesty from the very beginning, and if I was the meter reader, I'd go after her too. For some to claim he was involved in the murder is simply assinine - just an extension of the garbage the defense team sold the jury.

by ReckonedTruth December 24, 2011 7:14 AM EST: THINK AGAIN, A court selects potential jurors from a list of names that are often obtained from lists of people with drivers licenses "IN THE STATE" and people who are registered to vote in the state. Plus, it was the STATE of FLORIDA vs. Casy Anthony remember?

Learn how the court system works .. if the selected jurors for the Casey Anthony case were not the taxpayer citizens of FLORIDA who acquitted Casey Anthony? Then what state did the jurors in the Casey Anthony case represent? Let's see.. Hmmm.. Alaska? Ohio?...NO! FLORIDA!.. So I stand by my comment, FLORIDA should be ASHAMED to acquit Casey Anthony .. no different than OJ being acquitted.

by ReckonedTruth December 23, 2011 1:56 PM EST: People who murder.. for instance in the MURDER of a child at the hands of a parent will pay ONE WAY or another-- even if in a court of law the accused is found not guilty... I hope Casey can't sleep at night..

..and Florida should be ashamed to have acquitted Casey.. she was shocked when she heard the verdit.. because she KNEW what she did with regard her daughter-- evidence proven she had SOMETHING to do with the death of her child.; Reply to this comment
