Editor loses eye, hand in propeller accident

DALLAS - A Texas online fashion magazine editor has lost an eye and a hand after walking into the spinning propeller of a small airplane following a flight to view Christmas lights earlier this month.
In a statement, the mother of 23-year-old Lauren Scruggs of Plano said her daughter's left eye was removed Wednesday. Lauren Scruggs also lost her left hand in the Dec. 3 accident.

Cheryl Scruggs said, "We have been praying for a miracle. The miracle that Jesus gave us is a prosthesis."
Cheryl Scuggs says her daughter is "recovering remarkably well, given the circumstances," but added she's also in "excruciating pain."
Lauren Scruggs is founder and editor of LoLo (LOH'-loh) Magazine, which includes information on fashion, beauty, health and travel.
