Woman charged with child, animal sex back at work

A woman charged with performing sexual acts involving two pets and forcing a 6-year-old-boy to perform sex acts on her is back at work as a deputy director at the Centers for Disease Control.

Kimberly Quinlan Lindsey, 44, is the deputy director of the CDC's Laboratory Science, Policy and Practice Program Office (LSPPPO). She is charged with multiple counts of child molestation and one count of bestiality, according to CBS affiliate WGCL in Atlanta.

Lindsey was arrested October 10 following a six-week investigation by the DeKalb County police. Police say they unearthed evidence that a 6-year-old boy was involved in sex acts with Lindsey and her boyfriend Thomas Westerman, a fellow CDC employee who is also charged in the case. The child molestation allegedly took place between January and August of 2010 at Lindsey's home in Decatur, Ga.

Mekka Parish, public information officer for the DeKalb County Police Department, told WGCL that detectives were notified by a medical professional of the alleged child molestation and that the investigation revealed the boy was involved in various sexual acts including spanking Lindsey and using a sex toy on her.

Police said they found photographs of Lindsey performing sexual acts on two pets, but have released no further details regarding the bestiality charge.

Both Lindsey and Westerman were released on bail and Bob Rubin, one of Lindsey's attorneys, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Friday that Lindsey has returned to work.

Her preliminary hearing was postponed Thursday and is being rescheduled.

Before her arrest, Lindsey was a supervisory health scientist, who was the second-in-command at the LSPPPO and had received several honors and awards. She in charge of a department that had a $1.5 billion budget for the agency's terrorism preparedness and emergency response funding.

She's obviously a very smart lady as to do the job that she does.

Sadly, her sexuality is perverted (not to mention that drugs may have been involved).

God is in control. God will hold her accountable in His time frame.

This is a classic conviction of character in a slanted news story. If you can make up your mind with the kind of facts written here, then you should never, never sit on a jury. I assess this story as follows....'this woman has an enemy, with power, who is out to destroy her.' And, what better way to win public support than throw out a sex charge, and a deviant one at that.

She had better have a GREAT attorney!!!

First of all, I don't think the accused woman did the one or the other. And, I won't believe it until the evidence is confirmed by a guilty verdict rendered by a duly appointed jury. Secondly, as a Christian believer (Christ is risen indeed),the above post by Megapril shows a wonderful spirit of hate and ignorance. The problem is that I am seeing more and more ignoramic posts like Megapril's -- I don't know if her post proves that she has never been to school or that it proves that she has. As the professor in the Chronicles of Narnia said "what are they teaching children in schools these days?" or something to that effect, and then he laments that they are obviously not teaching logic. Whoever falls for the above "quandry" as set forth in Megapril's ridiculous post will not grasp the fact of human free agency and so there is hardly any reason to explain it.

A six year old boy, and 2 beautiful innocent creatures have been sexually abused. There is video evidence and the testimony of a scared little boy! I feel that the onus is on proving innocence NOT guilt in cases like this.
As for Christian beliefs, save them for your small minded church meetings because while you sit round feeling sorry for yourself, repenting your sins and judging everyone else, some of us are actually out there DOING the dirty work of taking care of those less fortunate. You live in a part of the world that kills 6 million innocent animals per year, and then you all claim to be followers of Christ. Hypocrites!

Good point...two animals...one charge...I am assuming that they were Siamese monkeys...only way the charge makes sense...we are probably going to have to wait for the details through the Chimp's legal team...

She has to be a left winger and Democrat and probably an atheist like formerusmcsgt1.
They welcome all sexual deviants into the party.
The more the merrier and the sicker.

I don't kow who you are and, frankly, don't really care to.

First of all you have never seen me post anything condoning sexual deviance.

And secondly, I'm an Independent. We have no party to welcome anyone into, moron.

So shove it sideways.

Believe in all the fairy tales you like.

I'm not into auto-deception.

Mainly attributeable to leaving the belief in fairy tales in my childhood where it belongs......
