LOS ANGELES - An attic fire has damaged the Hollywood landmark Magic Castle.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says the fire was reported at 12:35 p.m. Monday and was knocked down 65 minutes later.
No one was injured in the blaze, CBS Los Angeles reports.
Smoke could be seen rising from upper windows at the height of the blaze.
The Magic Castle is a private club for the Academy of Magical Arts and has been a venue for magic shows and dining since the 1960s. The club's website say it will be closed Monday night because of the fire.
The ornate structure was built as a private home in the early 1900s.
Ironically, the castle promoted their Halloween-week activities as "Inferno at the Magic Castle."
